the vintage is full bodied with just the right amount of dusty mountain tannins that allow it to age well. Seductive and penetrating with its fragrant aromas wound in black pepper, sweet oak, plums and currant. A beautifully made Zinfandel that sparks with elegant flavors of ripe dark fruit and blackberry with a balanced bright finish of spice and bing cherry. With only 754 cases made, this Howell Mountain Zinfandel deserves more attention than it receives but that's to our benefit.
