another color...
bodegas el nido clio 2007

Spain's black and purple 2007 Clio is made of 70% Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon; the wine is aged for more than two years in new American and French oak before it's placed in the bottle. This is a sultry red with caressing aromas of lavender and underbrush with blueberry carried by streams of smoky dark currant. Sensual, with satisfying fullness onto the palate, this stacked very attractive red is seductive. For those who are intimidated by prowess or overwhelmed by boldness, Clio is not for them. We should all thank Australian winemaker Chris Ringland for his work with this project. Drink in this very satisfying experience through 2020.
